A smart school uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of our school and setting an appropriate tone. It instils pride; supports positive behaviour and discipline; it encourages identity and support for our school ethos and protects children from social pressures to dress in a particular way. Above all, we believe that school uniform supports effective teaching and learning.
When is a uniform required?
Children are required to wear the uniform to school at all times for pupils in Reception to Year 6. All pupils must wear the uniform when representing the school at events off school property as children are at all times ambassadors for the school. Pupils should wear their PE uniform or games kit when they are representing Ss Peter & Paul sporting events.
The Role of Parents
We ask all parents who send their children to Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School to support our uniform policy. We believe that parents have a duty to send their children correctly dressed and ready for the day ahead. One of the responsibilities of parents is to ensure that their child has the correct uniform, and that it is clean and in good repair.
Apart from the jumper, cardigan, polo shirt, PE top and tie (available from the School Office), all other items are available from supermarkets or other clothing outlets. The wearing of school uniform and PE uniform is compulsory.
Order forms are available from the School Office and currently we are only able to accept cash payments.
